UCD has responded to an issue raised by students earlier today that exam results had been released three days earlier than expected. The College Tribune has now been informed that this early release is due to a “technical error” which has now been resolved.

The university had previously informed students that provisional results would be available throughout the day of Monday June 22nd. However, students began noticing that they could view their results on SISWEB, UCD’s online portal, at around 11am on June 19th.

In a statement to The College Tribune, a spokesperson for UCD said:

“The provisional results for Spring Trimester 2019/20 that were accessible to students on their Students’ SISWEB for a period of time of Friday June 19th, due to a technical error, are scheduled for formal release on the Monday 22nd June 2020. These results are provisional until they are approved by the associated Programme Exam Board.”

The Spring Trimester results have now been removed from the portal and will be re-released on Monday. However, many students have managed to view their grades already. It is unclear as to whether the grades released include all module components, and if some students’ grades may change between now and Monday.

The breakdown of coursework for individual modules has not yet been released for any student, nor has anyone received their final Semester GPA for the Spring 2020 term.
