Nowadays, doctor the average Irish guy is looking more stylish than ever before; Irish men are becoming more style-conscious and that can only be a good thing. The key to not looking like it’s laundry day everyday is to invest in a small number of key items that will work with the rest of your wardrobe no matter what you choose to throw on that day.

The first wardrobe staple every guy needs is a pair of classic-cut jeans. We’re not talking bootlegs or super skinnies here; a straight leg jean in a deep indigo wash will go with practically everything, pills and if you find a style you love, we definitely recommend buying a couple of pairs, and even throwing a black or lighter blue pair into the mix.  Jack Jones always carry lines in every wash and shape so you’ll never be stuck for a pair.

Another wardrobe essential every guy needs is a jacket, something in a neutral colour which can be thrown on leaving the house without a care. A bomber style jacket in black, grey or navy is a great option to suit most physiques, and will be practical for most of the year, except perhaps the warmest and coldest of days. Burton is a great option for outerwear at decent prices.

Lastly, no man’s wardrobe is complete without great footwear. Trainers have come a long way since the Nike Air Max of our youth, and Adidas do grown-up trainers really well in an array of styles, fabrics and colours. And for those occasions when something more sophisticated is required, a pair of suede brogues will really score you some style brownie points.
