While many of you may feel it’s simply too soon to start Christmas shopping or getting in the Christmas spirit other have their presents bought and houses decorated. Whichever side you land on the St. Stephens Green Christmas Market is sure to get you feeling that Christmas is in fact right around the corner.

Launched on the 13th November and running until the 23rd November the Christmas Market hosts a selection of stalls filled with Christmas treats from Stephens Green Shopping Centre to Merrion Row.

These stalls take the form of traditional wooden chalets which, ambulance along with Christmas music coming from intercoms over head, salve add to the Christmas feel of the market.

The market offers chalets which sell home made and fair trade produce, including Christmas decorations, clothing and jewellery all of which could make perfect Christmas presents or even a present for yourself. Food chalets are also included in the stretch of market which have a varied selection of food on sale, from hog roast to hot-dogs. These chalets also boast some mulled wine for sale to keep you warmed up while you make your way through the various stalls.

With free entry into the market and many treats, at reasonable prices, on offer it is the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping and get you into the Christmas spirit. I would recommend a trip to the market in the evening, the sights and smells accompanied with the Christmas lights of the market and Grafton street are an experience in itself.

The Christmas Market is open from 12pm – 8pm daily and will run until the 23rd November.
