UCD’s O’Reilly Hall vaccination center is to run a walk-in vaccination program this weekend. From 11 am on Sunday, August 8th, anyone over the age of 16 who has not yet been vaccinated can avail of a first dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine at the UCD vaccination center.

UCD students have received an email with information regarding the walk-in center from Dean of Students Jason Last with a message from the vaccination team, informing them of the opening of the walk-in center.

Those attending the walk-in centers should bring their PPS number, Eircode, mobile phone number, email address, and a photo ID. Proof of date of birth is also required if it is not displayed on the form of ID. International students living in Ireland who have not received a PPS number may also attend.

Anyone who avails of this first dose will receive a text message from the HSE when it is time for their second dose. The second dose may be scheduled for a different center if that center is closer to the patient’s home address.

This announcement comes after the news that the contact tracing center at UCD is to be closed with contact tracing to be continued in an HSE facility in Dublin. The staff of the UCD center will move to the Heuston South Quarter center this month.
