Voting for the news Sabbatical officers for UCD Students’ Union will take place across campus on the 3rd and 4th March with the results coming in on the 5th March.

Candidates for SU President

aherne Fanning Foley O Halloran

 

Megan Fanning

A second year Economics student. Fanning was one of the co-founders of the UCD Economics Society and has also held the position of News Editor with the University Observer.

Michael Foley

A final year Business and Law student. Foley has worked as treasurer of the L&H society and has also worked with other societies and events across campus.

Marcus O’Halloran

A fourth year Agricultural Science student. O’ Halloran has twice been the auditor of the Agricultural Science society.

Cian Aherne

A third year Actuarial and Financial Studies student. Aherne has been a member of several societies on campus and has also taken on the role of Class Rep during his time in UCD.

Dannii Curtis

A final year Politics and International Relations student. Curtis has been involved in numerous societies on campus including Arts Soc and has also been involved in running campaigns, such as PleaseTalk.

Sharon Ryan

A fifth year medical student. Ryan has been involved in Dramsoc and the Musical society throughout her time in UCD.

Clare O’ Connor

A third year Science student. O’ Connor has been involved with many different welfare campaigns on campus such as ‘PleaseTalk’ and the ‘UCDTalks’ campaign.

Louise Keogh

A second year English and Sociology student. Keogh is currently the LGBTQ+ Society and has been involved in many different welfare campaigns on campus.

Hazel Beattie

A postgraduate Social Policy HDIPS student. Beattie is currently the class rep for Social Policy HDIPS and regularly sits on the Students’ Union Council.

Sharath Jagarlapudi

A postgraduate Mechanical Engineering research student. Jagarlapudi has served on the Students’ Union Representative during his undergraduate years also running campaigns in his former Postgraduate University.

Paul Dockery

A second year Politics and Economics student. Dockery has been the class rep for Politics and International Relations and has also worked with the Economics Society as the Speakers Officer.

Cian Byrne

A third year Electronic Engineering student. Byrne is currently the Engineering and Architecture Convenor and has also worked with UCDVO in Tanzania.
