UCD Students’ Union held an open day today. Between eighty and ninety incoming students gathered in the cinema of the new Student Centre for an information session provided by the SU followed by tours of the UCD campus.

Many of those present expressed both their excitement and their fears about coming to UCD for the first time. Sabbatical officers answered numerous questions on topics ranging from registration to accommodation before leading groups of incoming Freshers on tours of campus and the various buildings.

Paddy Guiney, sale campaigns and communications officer, viagra expressed his delight at both the turnout and the all-round good atmosphere at the event. “I was very very happy with it. I’m particularly proud of all the work the other four sabbatical officers put in to their speeches and preparing for it…it was exceptionally good to see the project pulled off so well because it was the first of its kind from our end, from the Union. It’s great to see so many eager incoming students. It just reminds you who you’re representing and their issues… There were 90 people in the room and I felt a lot of questions from them were answered.”
