O’Brien leads with 1023, followed by Murphy with 882, Oakes with 803, and Aljohmani with 590.

This leaves Plunkett on 1711 and Kerr on 1642.

The difference between Kerr and Plunkett is under 1.9% therefore an automatic recount has been called to ensure the count is accurate.

The races for the Sabbatical positions are tight after the first set of results were announced.

President

There were 1470 valid votes from boxes in Carysfort, Engineering, Richview, and Science 1 for the Presidential race.

Incumbent President Barry Murphy is in front with 345 votes, or 23%, followed by Ryan Oakes on 307 votes, or 21%.

Rosie Aljohmani is third with 260 votes (18%), followed by Breifne O’Brien on 238 (16%), Juliet McFadden on 222 (15%) and Amy Crean with 86 (6%).

 

Welfare

Melissa Plunkett is leading John Kerr by 660 votes to 523 (41% to 36%), with Kylie Roche on 11%.

85 of the 1467 votes cast were spoiled, with 3% so far for RON.

Thomas Monaghan is leading Kevin Brennan by 737 to 537 votes.

Christine Brown and Stephen Crosby are separated by only 11 votes, with 652 for Crosby and 641 for Brown. 107 votes were spoiled.
