Christmas is hands-down my favourite time of year. Despite the fact that Critical Theory is doing its best to make me hate it, doctor there is nothing more exciting than the prospect of food, a fire, and the pleasant family life which lasts approximately until lunch. And although I know that Christmas isn’t about the gifts, there’s something extra special about the presents you get at Christmas. Cheerful wrapping paper, perfectly tied bows and a hint of something sparkly; here’s what I hope to find under my Christmas tree this year…

Clarins ‘The Essentials’ Christmas Make-Up Palette

Clarins-The-Essentials-Eye-Make-Up-Palette-Open

I suffer from insanely sensitive skin, and therefore can’t afford to touch anything even remotely cheap. As a student, my term-time perpetual poorness makes Christmas the opportune time to ask for the gorgeous new Clarins eyeshadow palette. With nude eyes on-trend this season, the neutral shades make this palette and absolute Christmas must-have, and number one on my Santa list.

There is nothing not to love about these beautiful little bracelets. There is ample choice of charms, making each bracelet personal to the individual, and that little bit more special. The ethos of the brand is designed to encourage and empower individuals to create the world they want to live in. What better way to spread the love than to give yourself, your best friend or your mother one of these for Christmas?

Lush… anything!

As someone with extra sensitive skin I’ve always had to be careful what beauty products I used, everything from shower gels to lipsticks. When I finally discovered Lush, I was in heaven. All-natural, handmade, and completely animal cruelty-free, they are the ideal store for any beauty need. This year, I’m hoping Santa will bring one of their gorgeous beauty sets, particularly their Relax gift set, with all the lavender-scented bath products you could ever hope for!

Sparkles!

Christmas season is sparkle season, and while less is usually more for me, I can never say no to a sequin or two at this time of year. I’m not usually a diamanté detail kind of girl, but this clutch from New Look is too cute to say no to. So Santa if you can hear me, I have been so good this year!
