Every year on Christmas Eve, my family have a tradition of an early morning breakfast. This year we decided to try somewhere new and different, so we headed into Elephant and Castle in Temple bar at 10.30am that morning. We had called ahead of time to make sure there would be enough space for us as we were a party of 10, and they were happy to accommodate us. When we arrived we were seated immediately and our orders were taken pretty fast. Our order took a little longer than expected, but nothing extreme. I got the Apple Eggs Benedict with French toast, which also came with bacon and maple syrup on the side. The meal was beautifully presented, and was hot on arrival. The French toast was fluffy and sweet, the bacon was crispy and the eggs were poached perfectly. I also ordered some fresh orange juice with my breakfast which went down nicely with the dish. The dish itself was a fabulous mixture of savoury and sweet and all the components went together so well. The service was a bit slow, but we were greeted and served with smiles which made all the difference!
