UCD students are set to be entertained next year by Eoin Heffernan, ask Entertainment Vice-President elect. Running unopposed, seek Heffernan polled 3,776 votes while 557 students voted to re-open nominations.
The 21 year old Agricultural Science student told the crowd that he’d enjoyed the campaign and that he appreciated the support of his team. “It’s great to be elected … It’s something that I wanted … a position that I’m looking forward to getting into”. During his speech, Heffernan joked that he was happy that he received less RON votes than President elect Breslin.
Heffernan also noted the work of current Ents Officer Stephen Darcy throughout this year.
“Next year’s looking good so far,” he commented. Heffernan will be the final Ents officer in UCD due to the passing of the new SU Constitution which removes the position.
Heffernan urged students to get involved in Ents Crew next year; his term will begin on the 1st of July.
