Get Active with TRIBE Charity and FM104

Let’s face it. Being in lockdown is a little repetitive. You have squeezed every cent out of your Netflix subscription, exercise has transformed into a monotonous daily chore and dragging yourself to your desk to do work is becoming more unrealistic as the days go by. Luckily, Tribe Charity is looking to provide you with a solution.

For those of you that don’t know, Tribe is a student-run charity looking to raise awareness and essential funds for mental health charities in Ireland. What makes Tribe different is that every single person who gets involved with Tribe is making a public statement that it is ok to be vulnerable, and experience mental health difficulties. By running an event, participating in a campaign, or sharing anything on social media, it is a statement to anyone suffering that it will be ok – this is a unique feeling that reverberates across the entire student body.

This year, Tribe has partnered with Jigsaw Ireland, the centre for youth mental health services, and for their latest initiative Tribe is teaming up with FM104 and fitness experts Movement to provide you with online fitness classes live on Fm104’s Instagram at 1pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These online “Sweat Sessions” will be free of charge although you are encouraged to donate by texting “JIGSAW” to 50300′ to donate €2 or by using the donation link provided.

If you want to stay productive and active, then look no further than this excellent campaign that looks to improve your physical and mental wellbeing during these strenuous and uncertain times. Check out Fm104’s Instagram page for more information, and to learn more about Tribe, follow their Instagram @tribe_charity or check out their website www.tribecharity.com
