From looking at the various labels presenting their line of clothing on the catwalks around the world, Ami by Alexandre Mattiussi and Robert Geller’s collections stand out the most. Ami’s Spring/Summer collection has a bright and youthful essence with strong colours such as bright orange, blue and red. Linear patterns have become a trend this season, particularly black and white print. Cheaper brand stores like Penneys are even picking up on the trend. If you’re looking to pick up a jacket like the one in Ami’s collection, they can be picked up in Penneys for only €25.

Robert Geller’s Fall collection is phenomenal. Again, linear print is a huge element for this label. Here’s a tip if you’re too worried about having horizontal or vertical lines in an outfit: layer up! In Geller’s line of clothing he broke the mould and mixed both types of print in some outfits. Typically it would clash but the tones of browns, khaki greens and navies work excellent together. The collection has a number of recurring trends, such as high-waisted pants matched with a of boots and a blazer. Geller’s looks are beautifully simple and be imitated easily for both everyday and evening wear.

Kenzo’s collection definitely steals the attention with the loud polka-dot prints and pastel colours. This label is one to watch because Kenzo very clearly is adventurous with his collections, which is almost always a good thing. It grabs the attention of the crowd; it shows promise that the other seasons will bring greater styles.
