UCD students will be asked to vote on a proposed new constitution in a referendum at the end of this month.

The proposed constitution, find which was released in full this evening, ambulance was composed by a Constitutional Review Group over the past number of months.

In his report to UCD Students’ Union Council tonight, Pat de Brún, SU President said he was “extremely proud” of the proposed constitution.

“If accepted, this constitution will bring in a new era for the Union. I believe it is far more representative of the needs and interests of students today. It will allow for better representation, more student involvement, better financial controls, and a Union that all members can be proud of,” de Brún stated in his report.

The referendum on the constitution is due to be held on February 29th & March 1st.
