UCDSU Welfare Officer Eoghan Mac Domhaill has announced the timetable of events for Sexual Health and Guidance (SHAG) week which is set to take place from next Monday 29th Jan. Mac Domhaill made the announcement using Facebook Live which will be a key aspect of one the events next week.

Next Monday, Jan 29th, a “rodeo willy” will be placed in the atrium of the old Student Centre from 2pm – 5pm. The student who stays on the rodeo the longest will win a Gold Card for CopperFace Jacks.

Mac Domhaill also announced a “Condom Olympics” which will take place in the Student Bar from 8pm -9.30pm also on Monday. The aim of the event is to place a condom on as many objects as you can with points being awarded on the basis of how big the object is. The person with most points will win a ticket to this year’s Electric Picnic.

Next Tuesday, Jan 30th there will be a Facebook live event where Mac Domhaill will interview Ireland’s only clinical sexologist Emily Power Smith. Mac Domhaill encouraged students to send in “as many weird and as wonderful” questions about sex to the SU’s Facebook page or Snapchat. The aim of the event is for students to get answers to questions “you might never ask in person so that sex is more fun”.

Mac Domhaill also described how the SU will be handing out condoms, lubricant, tampons, pads and pregnancy tests for free to ensure that students “have the best week possible”.
