“In your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it, you’ll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade”. Today we have moved very far away from the Easter Bonnet and the tradition of buying a springtime outfit for Easter Sunday mass has unfortunately well gone by. Today when I think of Easter inspired style I automatically think of beautiful, fresh springtime pastels that pull us out of the rut of dark winter colours. Easter for me begins in spring and is when the spring/summer wardrobe is finally taken out of storage.

Every wardrobe needs a sprinkling of pastels and I have trawled the internet to find the best pastel pieces to fit in the greyest winter wardrobe. Starting with a blouse is a great way to inject some pastels into an outfit. This simple wrap around number from New Look (€22.99) comes in a beautiful lilac colour that would look lovely with a bright pair of skinny blue jeans.

For the more adventurous girl a dress is the way to go, and this pastel iridescent beauty from Topshop (€68) is just stunning and a real statement maker. Paired with some white strappy heels it is effortless Easter glamour.

Recently trench coats seem to be coming back into style with great force. The classic trench has never gone out of style really but has come back in more of a draped, waterfall style. This gorgeous example from the coveted site Nasty Gal (€199.95). It gives the classic trench a more modern, sleek feel and would make any tee and jean combo look glamorous.

Handbags are also a fantastic way to boost your look with some Easter joy. This cute mint pastel satchel from River Island (€40) is a piece perfect for this. The classic satchel style is ever on trend and a simple way to add a spring feel to a winter outfit. Satchel bags are forever roomy and work well casual or smart.
