A video constructed by 5th year UCD Veterinary students has gone viral over the past few days.
The video, uploaded to You Tube by student Joseph O’Sullivan, features the final year students in a lipdub performance with choreographed dance moves to hit songs from The Killers, Mark Ronson and Taylor Swift, with some classical music thrown in for good measure.
The creative offering from the Veterinary school has amassed nearly 10,000 hits since it was uploaded 3 days ago, and has been shared over 1600 times on popular Irish news and lifestyle website Joe.ie.
Speaking to the College Tribune, O’Sullivan stated:
“I suppose all I can say is that for the last three years the final year vets have made a skit video—just as a sort of parting laugh. This year I wanted to make it a video to remember and the consensus of the best songs to do it to were: Mr. Brightside, Uptown funk and Shake it off. So I mashed the three together and made the track and we recorded the whole thing in 3/4 hours one sunny Saturday morning
Then we premiered it at our staff – final year dinner on the 28th March! Just a bit of a laugh really that took off!”
